Celebrate Chinese New Year With a Parade & Festival

You don’t have to be of Chinese descent to celebrate Chinese New Year–especially when that celebration is a festival and parade. This Saturday, January 28th stop by and participate in one of Los Angeles’ oldest traditions and celebrate the 118th annual Chinese New Year festival in Chinatown.

The fun starts at the Chinatown Central Plaza at 1pm to 3pm this Saturday and is open to the public. The day will include various musical acts, Kung- Fu demonstrations, and traditional musical performances. There will also be a host of tasty food trucks on hand along with a craft beer garden, a face painter and storytelling will be available for young children to enjoy. The main event, however, will be the Golden Dragon Parade which makes its way through the local Chinatown area. For those looking to try something new and experience a great holiday, stop by and enjoy this wonderful event.
